In this panel session we will look at:

Panel Chair - Gilbert George
Executive Director of Corporate Governance and Board Member at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) NHS Trust, one of the largest hospitals in the UK. Gilbert has over 15 years of experience as an Executive Director, Gilbert’s current portfolio includes Governance, Risk, Legal, Inclusion, Freedom to Speak Up, and Executive Leadership for Global Health, Aggression, Harassment and Violence. He is also the author of NUH’s Public Accountability – Statement of Intent, which is currently out for consultation.

Dr. I.Stephanie Boyce (Hon. Causa)
I. Stephanie Boyce is widely regarded as a trailblazer in the UK legal profession, earning respect for her leadership, resilience, and commitment to social mobility, diversity and inclusion and access to justice. In March 2021, she made history as the 177th President of the Law Society of England and Wales, becoming the first person of colour and only the sixth woman to hold the position.

Nick is a nationally recognised educator and thought leader in leadership, coaching, governance, and boardroom behaviours. As one of the rare National Teaching Fellows, his work bridges scholarly insight with real-world impact across private, public, and voluntary sectors. An accomplished entrepreneur with extensive local and international experience, Nick is widely regarded as an inspiring agent of organisational change.
David Cockayne (MA, FRSA),Chief Executive, the valuecircle
David is one of the UK’s leading proponents of modern applied governance and is CEO of the valuecircle. An architect of the concept of 'mechanics and dynamics’ in effective organisations, David provides leadership, strategy change and governance support to healthcare organisations, local councils, and private companies across the UK and internationally. To date, he has supported the development of over 150 organisations, including over 80 NHS Trusts, ICS’s and ICB’s.
