Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, participants will understand:
- Summarise and interpret the evolving global AI regulatory landscape (e.g., EU, UK, US, China), assessing its impact on operations and compliance challenges from existing AI products (e.g., data freshness, usage terms)
- Articulate the distinct yet interconnected roles of Legal, Risk, and Ethics functions in ensuring AI compliance and responsible deployment for both new and existing solutions
- Identify and assess common legal, compliance, and ethical pitfalls in AI deployment, including data privacy, IP, liability, and algorithmic bias, as they manifest in existing AI products and platforms
- Define the Board's pivotal role in governing AI, establishing robust oversight and cross-functional coordination (legal, risk, ethics), including evaluating risks from incumbent AI technologies
- Develop strategies for strategic horizon scanning and integrating ethical AI decision-making into board-level processes, navigating the complex AI regulatory and governance landscape and considering existing and future AI products
